AMENDED BRIEFING NOTE RE HEALTHCARE REGULATIONS 2020

Philip Stott considers the update in the regulations relating to the restrictions on movements of persons amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

This week has seen some limited relaxing of the regulations relating to the restrictions on movements of persons in England during the Coronavirus emergency, for example opening up garden centres and allowing people to exercise or visit public open spaces with a member of a different household. The fines payable under fixed penalty notices for breaching the rules have also increased dramatically. The regulations still remain extremely restrictive however. Further to his previous briefings on these rules, Philip Stott sets out in an updated note what the relevant changes to those regulations are, and what the current law is.
