There has been great public interest in the prosecution of persons who have threatened to endanger the lives of others using the general fears around the public health emergency. Nadesh Karu discusses the applicability of current criminal legislation to this issue, in particular whether the provisions regarding assault and/or threatening behaviour are best suited to prosecute such offending.
