Adrian Darbishire QC, Mark Aldred acted for the police officers in the inquest into the death of a motorcyclist following a police pursuit. Alan Long died in a road traffic collision while riding his motorcycle following a 44-minute pursuit involving 5 Greater Manchester Police Vehicles and the forces fixed wing aircraft on the 1st August 2008. At the inquest the jury returned a verdict that Alan Long died as a result of an accident contributed to by his actions.
