Congratulations to Eleanor Laws QC who won Crime Silk of the Year at the annual Chambers and Partners awards which took place on the 19th November.
Eleanor has a diverse practice which includes heavyweight and high profile crime. She regularly represents professionals and people in the public eye and takes their cases from pre-charge. Where she has not been trial counsel, she reviews cases post-conviction with a view to appeal. Eleanor is the author of the Sexual Offences Referencer, considered to be the most widely used practitioner guide to Indictments & Sentencing in sex cases dating back to 1950.
A special mention to Julian Evans for his nomination in the Crime Junior of the Year category. He narrowly missed out to fellow Treasury Counsel.
