A key suspect in the notorious murder of Stephen Lawrence pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply cannabis.
Jamie Acourt had originally denied the charge, but changed his plea on the second day of his trial, immediately after Crispin’s opening address to the jury.
Mr Acourt was given a nine-year sentence.
This matter has been heavily covered in the press. Crispin’s opening was heavily quoted in the Daily Mail, and the case was also featured by the BBC, Sky News, The Times, The Telegraph, and The Guardian.
