Nicholas Corsellis acted for Brent & Harrow Trading Standards Service in the prosecution of Brandon Davis and his company Brandon Davis Publishing Ltd for offences under the Trade Marks Act 1994.
Davis manufactured and sold unofficial and unlicensed football programmes to fans of four teams attending Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup semi-final weekend. It was estimated that his takings over the weekend were in the region of £45,000.
He was convicted at Harrow Crown Court and was sentenced to a 14 month custodial sentence suspended for two years and the Trading Standards Service has commenced confiscation proceedings against the two defendants.
