Nazari v Solicitors Regulation Authority

Mr Nazari was struck off following a conviction for using a blue badge with intent to deceive and appealed the sanction claiming that the conviction itself does not necessarily involve dishonesty and that the sanction was excessive as he was in possession of the blue badge legitimately. Natasha was instructed in the appeal on behalf of the SRA.  The case re-examined the issue of whether convictions for dishonesty should result in an immediate strike off (as per Bolton v SRA) where the dishonesty was minor and occurred wholly in the context of private life. The High Court judgement is at [2022] EWHC 1574 (Admin).

Natasha was instructed by Ian Brook of Capsticks Solicitors, instructed by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
