Paul Raudnitz KC successfully defends a health and social care services consultant acquitted of all charges in an Insolvency Service prosecution for offences under the Company Directors Disqualification Act

Paul Raudnitz KC acted for N, a health and social care services consultant who had been prosecuted by the Insolvency Service for allegedly managing a care services company in breach of the terms both of a bankruptcy order and a previous director’s disqualification order. After complex legal submissions, the Court gave a preliminary indication that the case as constituted was unfairly prosecuted. Following further negotiation and a full review of the case, the Crown conceded all charges and N was subsequently acquitted on all counts. A Defendant’s Costs Order was awarded by the Court.
