Mark Aldred secures a 4- minute acquittal of a Police Officer charged with Dangerous Driving in one of the first cases brought under the new legislation.
Police Officers are now to be judged against the standard of a Police Officer with the same level of training. The case highlights the importance of a thorough knowledge of Police Training Guidance and Policies.
Mark Aldred was instrumental in bringing about legislative change, having lobbied the Government highlighting the inadequacy of the previous legislation which made no allowance for police training.
