Mohammed Ali, 31, from Dagenham, Antonio Afflick-McLeod, 32, from Ilford, and Aaron Campbell, 32, from west London, were all found guilty of the murder of Iron Miah.
In 2014 Miah was convicted of conspiring to supply Class A drugs. He was released from prison in April 2019 and was shot in the head in November and died two days later.
There were claims that Miah owed £500,000. It was suggested that on the night in question he received numerous calls and texts before leaving the house and getting into the back of a car, under an alleged misapprehension that he was to inspect some drugs. On his return journey home a different car approached and a passenger left the car, approached Miah and shot him in the head.
There were two previous attempts at trial of the these defendants for this crime. In 2021 a jury was unable to reach a verdict, while a retrial in October 2022 collapsed after a key witness was found to have provided false evidence.
Sentencing will take place on the 16th January.
