R v Lartey and others (2012)

Jeffrey Lartey and two others were convicted of the murder of a 16-year-old in a gang attack in East London in which as many as a dozen youths were involved.

After being confronted by a wall of silence, the police placed a bug in a van and two of the three defendants incriminated themselves.  The third defendant was convicted as a result of evidence given by a 15-year-old boy who claimed that he had heard that defendant boating of his involvement in the crime.
