Philip Evans QC appeared on behalf of Jack Sibley who was accused of attempted murder.
Jack Silbley was accused of attempting to murder and rob his grandfather Barry Sibley at his home in Cheshunt in May 2014.
He was acquitted of attempted murder. The sentence for lesser offences will take place at the end of January.
