Kathryn Hughes defended an individual charged with having a bladed article in public place.
The individual was stopped by Police during the Notting Hill carnival weekend in possession of a machete. The defendant claimed to have had the machete for reasons of self-defence. The individual was acquitted following 40 minutes of jury deliberation.
