The defendant was convicted of conspiracy to rob, conspiracy to possess a firearm with intention to rob and possession of a firearm after a weeks trial at the Central Criminal Court. The defendant was part of a group of individuals who targeted small businesses such as newsagents and jewellers in a series of robberies across East London. They threatened and attacked workers and store owners with hammers, crowbars and firearms. The other defendants pleaded guilty and will be sentenced in December.
