David Jeremy QC and Julian Evans prosecuted in the ‘Tonbridge Robbery’ case, Britain’s largest ever cash robbery in which £53m was stolen from Securitas in Tonbridge.
Eight defendants were charged with conspiracy to rob.
The unique feature of this trial was that during the prosecution case charges were dropped against one of the defendants who then provided prosecution evidence leading to the conviction of the others.
