In January 2013 Philip Stott prosecuted a conspiracy to import 50kg of cannabis into the United Kingdom from the Netherlands.
The defendants David Stewart, Adam Calvert and Giuliano Farnesi were sentenced at the end of a trial to terms of imprisonment between 4.5 and 3.5 years.
The case involved the analysis of a truck drivers GPS records to ascertain where the drugs had been loaded on, and the detailed presentation of telephone records.
