Charlotte secured an acquittal at Stratford Magistrates Court for a 32-year-old woman facing a charge of driving without due care and attention.
The woman had been involved in a collision with a cyclist on Swain’s Lane in north London. Swain’s Lane has been described by Cyclist magazine as a ‘cycling mecca’ on account of the very steep gradient at the top of the hill by Highgate Cemetery.
The cyclist had suffered minor injuries but the Magistrates could not be sure that the driving complained of had fallen below the objective standard expected of a competent and careful driver.
Charlotte was instructed by Chevonne Reid of Faradays Solicitors.
