Caoimhe Daly was led by David Perry QC for the prosecution of protestors at the Defence Security Exhibition in East London.
They locked themselves to the front of a military vehicle and obstructed a gate on the public highway preventing the free flow of traffic. They were charged with willful obstruction of a highway under the Highways Act 1980. The defendants were acquitted, the prosecution appealed the decision by way of a case stated, the matter was heard in the Administrative Court and judgement has been reserved.
