Ruth represented H, who was acquitted of robbery after trial at Kingston Crown Court. The defendant was 16 years’ old at the time of the alleged offence but delays meant he and his co-defendant were 18 by the time of trial. H was sentenced to a community order in respect of guilty pleas entered to assault and handling stolen goods.
