Paul Raudnitz QC and Kyan Pucks represented H, a UK Border Force officer based at Gatwick Airport, who was prosecuted by the National Crime Agency for alleged misconduct in a public office and conspiracy to import drugs and launder the proceeds of crime.
It was alleged that H had fed sensitive official information to a criminal gang for the purposes of facilitating a substantial importation and laundering enterprise. Following a five-year investigation involving extensive surveillance and audio probe evidence, and a seven week trial, H was unanimously found not guilty on all counts.
Paul Raudnitz QC and Kyan Pucks were instructed by Rebecca Cooke of Shearman Bowen solicitors.
