Five members of a gang who kidnapped and tortured a 16-year-old boy were sentenced to over 23 years’ imprisonment at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
Isaac Donkoh, a leader of a Beckton E6 postcode-based gang and drill musician from Newham, London, was sentenced along with his two 16-year-old and two 14 year-old accomplices.
All five defendants either pleaded or were found guilty of kidnap, false imprisonment and blackmail. Donkoh was guilty of causing GBH to the hostage and of seeking to pervert the course of justice together with a co-defendant by seeking to prevent the hostage giving evidence.
Roger Smart led Tom Doble for the prosecution.
