Nadesh Karu, acting on behalf of the GDC, successfully applied to the High Court to extend the suspension of a dentist pending a full misconduct hearing.
The Judge was minded to revoke the suspension and impose conditions of practise, however, Nadesh persuaded the Judge that the public interest was such that only the registrant’s continued suspension would suffice. This was a contested hearing which took place in the High Court.
