Three men were today sentenced to a total of 17 years’ imprisonment at Warwick Crown Court following their conviction for a 10 year conspiracy to defraud the suppliers of subscription television and the Premier League.
Steven King headed the illicit company, Dreambox, which specialised in supplying pubs with illegal broadcasts from Sky, BT and broadcasters from as far afield as New Zealand, Thailand and the USA. Mr King was sentenced to seven years and four months.
The judge described the fraud, which caused many millions of pounds worth of harm to the legitimate broadcast industry as sophisticated and thoroughly dishonest.
This matter has been covered by the BBC, Independent, the Daily Mail and the Metro.
