The Whyte Review (2020-2022)

Anne has recently completed her independent review into the culture of the sport of gymnastics and her report has been published.

Anne was commissioned by UK Sport and Sport England to conduct an independent review into the culture of gymnastics in the UK and into the way British Gymnastics managed complaints and the welfare of gymnasts. This followed the worldwide disclosure of abuse by American gymnasts in the Netflix documentary “Athlete A”. Supported by Field Fisher and junior counsel from QEBHW, Anne established the practical and procedural parameters of the Review and then investigated all aspects of safeguarding, welfare and complaints handling with the sport. 

Her report and recommendations were published in June 2022 The Whyte Review and are already considered to be of invaluable application to gymnastics and other sports.
