Thomas Coke-Smyth represented the GMC in a complex and lengthy case against an experienced GP alleged to have prescribed opiates to a vulnerable patient over a number of months and to have then dishonestly deleted records of this. 32 separate allegations of dishonesty were found proved and the doctor was struck off.
