Paul Raudnitz QC acted for the GMC in proceedings against Dr Sawati, which have concluded after a four week hearing before the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service.
The doctor faced allegations of dishonesty, misconduct on duty and deficient professional performance. Both misconduct and deficient professional performance were found proved. The doctor was found to be impaired and ultimately erased from the medical register.
