Overview
Katie joined chambers in September 2024, her pupil supervisor is Karen Robinson.
Experience
Whilst completing her Bar studies, Katie was a High Court Judge’s clerk at the Royal Courts of Justice. She worked on high-profile criminal trials in both London and the Midlands, and observed and assisted with cases in the CACD.
Katie was previously paralegal for the in-house legal team at Oxfam GB, and a casework volunteer for Amicus ALJ. She also gained experience in the pro-bono housing and employment clinics during her law conversion course.
Before pursuing the Bar, Katie was a public speaking and debating coach. She is a former competitive debater, representing Scotland at the World Schools’ Debating Championships and the University of Edinburgh at the World and European University Championships.
