Our commitment to training and wellbeing means that our pupils are ready for life as a practising barrister at the end of their pupillage. There is no cap on the number of tenancies we offer per year and our pupils are not in competition with each other.
Pupils are invited to apply for tenancy at the end of our extended pupillage programme, typically in February or March. Those applying are invited to put together a short portfolio of their best written work and references from solicitors, judges and clients.
We typically interview all tenancy candidates in January. The tenancy interview panel is chaired by Crispin Aylett KC and comprises of members of chambers at all levels of call.
All successful candidates are invited to join chambers immediately. We do not operate a system of fixed term or probationary tenancies after pupillage with us.
Any unsuccessful candidates are fully supported by chambers. We maintain strong relationships with other leading sets and will assist in finding third six placements or tenancies.
