Former BHA Director of Integrity and Regulation, Tim Naylor, re-joins QEB Hollis Whiteman Chambers

We are delighted to welcome back our former member.

After a period of 7 years as the Director of Integrity and Regulation at the British Horseracing Authority, Tim Naylor re-joins QEB Hollis Whiteman to focus on a practice in Sport, Professional Regulation, Serious and Financial Crime.  Tim came to QEB Hollis Whiteman Chambers to complete his pupillage in 2010.  He was subsequently awarded tenancy and practised here for 8 years before assuming his position at the BHA.   

Tim brings with him a wealth of experience in sports law and regulation as well as leadership at executive and board level at two National Governing Bodies. As former Director of Integrity and Regulation at the British Horseracing Authority, Independent Non-Executive Director at the Football Association of Wales and current Non-Executive Director at Commonwealth Games Wales, he has broad expertise and experience across sports regulation and integrity, professional discipline and commercial matters.  He leads on all aspects of sports governance with considerable experience and understanding of sports regulation, anti-doping, safeguarding and integrity including chairing and sitting on disciplinary and appeal panels.

Aside from his expertise in Sport, Tim enjoys regulatory, licensing and disciplinary law, having represented registrants and presented before numerous regulatory tribunals in sport, healthcare and finance.  He has experience at all levels in serious and complex financial and corporate crime.  Since progressing from a career in investment banking, Tim has been instructed at various stages of investigation by individuals, corporates and prosecuting authorities. He is regularly instructed on multi-handed and complex matters by both the defence and specialist units of the CPS.
